Broken Dreams Part 1

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog I hope you enjoy reading this. Its the first part of a short story I am writing. I've never done anything like this before so please let me know what you think in the comments below.

Chapter One Emelia's Point Of View


" Emelia come on your going to be late!" Mum bellowed from downstairs, it's like she doesn't understand how I can't go to my first ever day at college and look a total mess. My house is literally a Mad zone its only a tiny four bedroom, well my rooms more like a closet,terraced house and It's bad enough she's moved in her new fancy man Alex and his snotty twin daughters Candice and Melissa, I swear Mum loves them more then me. There only 13 but think they are so much older and taking over all my personal space like hello this is my house! I do sit and wonder though what it must be like to have a twin, another you someone by your side all the time. Then there's my gorgeous little brother Cameron his only six months old and still in my Mum's room, he's her and Alex's baby. I preferred it before he moved in and it was just Mum, Cammie and me.
  "EMELIA COME ON! Your making everybody late poor Alex will be late for work and the girls for school COME ON!" Eurgh Alex this Alex that! "I'M COMING! YOUR BRATTY BABY KEPT ME UP ALL NIGHT" I didn't mean that I loved Cammie so much he literally was the apple of my eye. I decided to wear a pair of jeans that actually still fit me, I've put so much weight on over the school holidays hardly anything fits anymore, a baby pink top with lace round the top and my Pink butterfly sandals with my gorgeous new bag that I managed to persuade Mum to buy me from Primark. After finally getting through the obstacles in my way i.e. the bratz mess all over the floor I made it into my mums room to kiss my little Cammie. He looked so gorgeous laying all wrapped up with no care in the world, I could stand and stare at him all day. " Jessica! She's in your room waking Cameron up" At the door was brat number 1 Candice, i pick up my bag and quietly close the door giving her a dirty look before making my way downstairs.
  "At Last! What was taking you so long? You better not have woke cameron up his been up all night!? " Why does she always take her side over mine! " Why are you listening to her I went in and gave him a kiss! My god you would rather I wasn't here wouldn't you so you could carry on your perfect little life!" Tears tickled my face once again for the thousandth time since HE moved in! " Don't be so ridiculous Em and go to college! Good Luck Sweetheart" I move closer and hug her why can't things just go back to how they always were or even better back to a time where my dad was in it. I don't remember my dad at all, I've never even seen a photo of him and Mum won't talk about him at all. All I have is a ring that I never take off, a gorgeous 10 ct gold ring with a small diamond in the middle with my initial it even looks like it should belong to a set, the gruesome twosome are forever trying to get their hands on it!
  Alex drives a ford focus you know the really old kind it barely fits us all in before let alone now Cameron's here! I squeeze into the back next to the Gruesome Twosome's Best Friend Tasha who  I swear is worse then them if that's possible! " Like not being funny Miss scruffy pants who's never going to get a boyfriend you've not only made me and cand late but Tash too your so out of order!" Miss Scruffy Pants really? You try living on my non existent budget! "Shut up you stupid ugly monster". "JESSICA DON'T YOU EVER SPEAK TO THE GIRLS LIKE THAT AGAIN OR YOU CAN GET OUT AND WALK! I'm kind enough to give you a lift I do not appreciate you abusing my little girls" OMG as if, was he completely deaf to what she had just said but once again it's me in the wrong. I wait till the car comes to a stop at the traffic lights and jump out the car, it wasn't too far from here to my new college and a moment longer in that car I would have gone crazy. Not once did he even shout after me just silence before speeding off.
  My new college was ten times bigger then my old secondary school and standing outside of it now was so scary, I was the only one of my friends to go to this college the rest stayed on for sixth form but Mum wanted me to go here so I could pick Cameron up after nursery each day. Finally, I found my form room I opened the door slowly nervous of who was inside the room. A group of boys are obsessing over three plastic looking girls in the corner who are just looking at me dirty looks, one of the girls slightly smiling before whispering in their clique. At the front of the room by the window is a empty chair next to a quiet girl I sit down in silence. "Hi,I'm Grace you know that lot are talking about you don't you" I look behind my shoulder and notice them staring while one of the boys is on the phone "Nah seriously babe it's well freaky it's like a geeky you...seriously Saph" At that I turn and look away " I'm Emilia, Let them it doesn't matter" Mrs Ferrows walks in a tall stern looking woman and starts taking the register "It's because you freakily look like Sapphire the queen bee"  I look over at Grace why would I look so freakily like this girl at that moment I turn my attention to the classroom door and all of the sudden it's like I'm looking at my reflection or my Mum's it's like this girl is a slimmer, prettier and perfect version of myself.

Would you rather Beauty Tag?

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

I would totally prefer to go out with messy hair and nice makeup as I think with a good amount of makeup on if your hairs a bit messy it doesn't really matter to much as you still look presentable.

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

Shave my eyebrows you can easily draw them back on or have them tattooed on much easier then having to apply false eyelashes everyday.

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

Mac 1000% because there isn't a Sephora in the UK lol!

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

Lipgloss/Lipliner look

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

This is such a hard one as they are both pet hates and I would hate either but if I really had to choose I would go for the overdone blush because after a while it would wear off

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

Omg do I have to pick they both horrify me, I would never wear either but if I really had to it would be the MC Hammer pants

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

Really weird tan lines Ive had the bad orang-y spray tan not so long ago and it was absolutely awful and wore off with really weird tan lines anyway.

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?

Bad hair colour it would be a hell of a lot easier to sort out then a bad haircut that could takes years to sort out depending on how bad it is.

9.Would you rather have youtube or twitter taken away forever?

Twitter omg I love youtube far to much!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara? 

This is impossible! It would have to be mascara because you can always put falsies on but no make up brushes would be a disaster!

Skincare and Makeup Questions

So this post is all about Skincare and Makeup I hope you enjoy this post as much as I did writing it. 

SKINCARE


-What skin type do you have?

I have normal skin it can get slightly dry on my nose and cheeks certain times of the month.

-What is your current facial wash?

I use the Simple range because it's kind to my skin some of the other brands can be a bit harsh and cause me to breakout.

-Do you exfoliate?

Yes daily it's so important so you can achieve the perfect base for your makeup.

-What brand do you use?

Clinique

-What moisturiser do you use?

Clinique total moisture surge

-Do you have freckles?

I do especially in the summer I hate them!

-Do you use eye cream?

Yes I use a few different ones Lancome, Benefit and Clinique 

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

No I'm pretty lucky  just get a odd spot here and there it depends how well I am eating

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

No haven't ever tried it at all



MAKE-UP



-What foundation do you use?

Make up forever HD and MAC Face and Body foundation

-How about concealer?

My fave is collections lasting perfection it is so cheap but so good so I really recommend you try it!

-Do you know your undertone colour?

yes its a cool so like blue, pink

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

Absolutely love them but I haven't quite mastered how to apply them just yet but I will

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?

I do and it's so important you do but i'll be honest I don't strictly stick to it

-What brand of mascara do you use?

I use a lot of different brands from Loreal to Benefit

-Sephora or MAC?

Mac a 100%

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No whats that? Is it american?

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

I love using my beauty blender for my foundation then I use different brushes for different parts of my face.

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Yes i love Benefits and Urban decays

-For the face?

Yeah Bare Minerals

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

Browns and Blacks are my favourite. I like neutral colours and creating a smoky eye

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Both

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Quite often and as you will know it really really hurts!

-Do you use mineral makeup?

I do mainly Bare minerals

-What is your favorite lipstick?

Any of Mac's retro Matte lipglosses but I tend to wear reds, pinks or nudes

-How about lipgloss?

I 'm not a massive fan i rarely wear it

-What is your favorite blush to use?

Nars Orgasm 

-Do you buy your makeup on eBay?

No never would I'm to scared it's fake

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

Yeah some of the products are as good if not better then high end makeup

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

Nope never been to one

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Yes I still am I'm saving money so hopefully not to long away

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Sometimes if I'm rushing

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Not putting mascara on your bottom lash and not blending your contour lines properly

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I love colourful lipsticks but not a fan of bright eyeshadows I prefer a neutral eye

-Which celebrity always has great make up?

Cheryl Cole, Zoella, all of Little Mix there makeup is literally always on point

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?

Concealer a 1000%

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

Yeah have done only for work when I'm running late or not feeling well

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

No I feel horrible when I have no makeup on my confidence absolutely skydives and I always get comments on how ill I look.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

Thats a really hard one but at the moment I would say Urban Decay I love there products

-What do you think of Makeup?

Little Me

Hello and welcome to my brand new blog A Touch Of Glitter. I really felt like I wanted a fresh start in the the 'blog world' so I have decided to create a brand spanky new one. There will be new posts every Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Fridays so it's going to be a pretty full on blog. There will be posts on all different topics mainly they will be post about my general life and what I get up to, What I ate Wednesday, Beauty, Travel, Short stories, Chats, Baking, Music and Fashion you get the picture so hopefully there will be something for everyone.

My name is Sophie May but I prefer being called Soph. I am 25 years old and very nearly 26 which absolutely petrifies me! When did I get so old? My passion in life is Makeup and Fashion and I wanted to find a way to incorporate this into my life more. Although I absolutely love my job right now and I put my heart and soul into it. I literally work five days a week 7-6 so in my spare time I love to chill with a Gin and Lemonade and write my blog. 

I live in the lovely place of Essex and not is nothing like out of The Only Way is Essex and no one actually acts the way the show portrays. My heart belongs to the North East though especially Newcastle! I am a massive shopaholic although as I'm getting older I am trying to curb this!

I've always loved makeup for as long as I can remember, I can still feel the excitement I had on my 9th birthday when I received my first makeup palette! That's when experimenting with makeup really started for me! I also used to love once a week collecting the Sabrina the Teenage Witch magazine where you got a piece of makeup each week. I have a major obsession with makeup and can easily spend hundreds a month trying out new products. So why not share with the rest of the world?

I love spending weekends shopping and seeing my friends whether thats staying in for a girly catch up or going clubbing. I don't have a million friends but I really appreciate the ones who I do have and would honestly do anything for them. I'm the sort of person who doesn't let many people get close to me and get to know the real me because I've been hurt so many times before so I prefer now not to even get to know someone! So if I class you as a friend feel privileged lol!
